Simple, Pure, and really, really cute

Once again it's that time of the year! Grades show up on the my.lasalle website, people refreshing their browsers every 5-10 seconds just to see if they passed and fail, and all hell breaks loose. Me, my grades are decent. Miraculously, I was able to get passing grades in INTFILO (Philosophy 101) and ADVANSE (Advanced Software Engineering), two subjects that I'm in danger of failing. Thank god I was able to pass them.

KASPIL2 (Later history of the Philippines) was like my high point this term, since I got a perfect 4.0. Whilst INTRNLP (Intro to Natural Language Processing) just gave me a 1.5. I dunno why though. maybe our prof was not amazed by the progress of our group in terms of what we have submitted and reported on the classes that we had. Or maybe that's because he just wanted to continue the streak of 1.0's that I had from the first class that I had him as his prof, until now. Lulz.

The only thing I kinda regret is part two of our thesis course (THSST-2). We got a failing mark. 0.0. Complete and epic fail. But meh. The reason why we failed is simple. Me and my thesismates are too lax. We focused on other stuff aside from the thesis, like work, anime, friends, gaming, other subjects and other stuff, but we never actually got the time to actually do it. And whenever we actually attempt to do it, we end up being too lazy and lax to even think about working on it, and we easily get distracted while we work. Now we're here, just facing the consequence of our actions. What can we do about it? It's our fault anyway. As a result, I'm delayed by a term and my friend mickey is delayed as well.

But meh. Crying over spilled milk won't get us anywhere. We'll just stand up to our feet, learn and embrace the lessons of the past, and move on. And this time, in this second attempt, we will try our best NOT to let lightning strike twice.

Oh well. We have to experience failure in some point in our lives. Just think of it as a challenge to work harder and strive for better things. After all, in Filipino, "may panahon para maging hari, may panahon para madapa, dahil ang buhay natin ay sadyang ganyan. Umaaraw, umuulan." (There is a time to be a king, there is a time to trip and fall down, because our lives are really like that; Sometimes it's sunny, sometimes it's rainy).

Oh well. Learn and move on, I suppose.

Fresh Start, Fresh Term

Ah yes. The new term has just started and I get the feeling that this will be one interesting term. for starters, most of the subjects are quite interesting to say the least. Most especially GAMEDES, COMPILE and KASPIL1.

Another thing to note is that this term marks the start of my Thesis. At least me and my Thesismates are able meet up and really make plans for whatever we're going to do. Hopefully we'll be able to work had and be able to deliver all the deliverabls in due time. also i hope that my thesismates will be able to do their studies at the same time.

Also, as stated before at the beginning, I'm loving GAMEDES. As in, the first assignment is actually playing a game. The game is entitled "Plants Vs. Zombies". It's quite a fun game, and quite different from other Tower Defense games. I'll just give a sort of Review about it later.

In short, the first week of classes is quite enjoyable. Hopefully I can be able to finish the term with better grades than before.

also, within the week I might update ng blog and plurk layouts. Gonna change it with some K-ON! related stuff. :3

no more free time next term yay!

seriously. Next term, although the schedule suggests that I have free time, looks like I have little to no free time.

Why? Blame it on the fact that I was not able to finish the project for my OJT on time. also, I haven't completed my 190 hours of OJT work. bad right? so, most of my free time (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, the whole of Friday) will be used for project development.

Bad side: little time to do homework/thesis/projects. ;_;

Good Side: there's an allowance. and work experience xD

however, I view this as more of a challenge rather than a threat; can I be able to finish the project at the same time finish all my requirements/school projects on time? this is probably a test for me. However, i shouldn't think the negative stuff all of the time.

Besides, in a way, I like my job. I've met a lot of new friends and companions. and the superiors are quite fun and approachable. the project is quite alright as well. although we're already cramming to finish the remaining work. haha.

Well, at least now I can finally say that I can do something productive for once. In fact, I am willing to help the company in their future endeavors.

K-On, Grades and On the Job Training

hehe, been a while.

anyway, It's nice to blog after a long while. Been busy with a lot of stuff, projects and the like. anyway, Finals are over, and now I'm working for De La Salle Philippines. Which is quite surprising considering that they accepted me in the last second. Anyway, the people in DLSP are great people, and my partner in the OJT, Paolo seems like a nice guy. I hope we'll get along during the next few weeks.

Anyway, as you may have noticed, this post is not just about my On the Job Training. I've been hanging around a new anime and Manga Series named K-On! Which revolves around the crazy adventures of 4 girls who are members of their school's light music club. The Anime is quite crazy and the Manga is really enjoyable.

One last thing, my grades last term are quite bad. 2 1.5's, 2, 2.0's and 2 3.0's. damn, I should exert more effort. Next term is thesis, so I really need the effort.
